Shifting Pop is based on the technique of popping, Linda’s main form of dance, while at the same time reflecting other dance styles and energies that accompany them.

Shifting Pop is a sensory and emotional exploration of the dance style popping to guide the dancer toward a different body awareness and a metamorphosis to expand the range of possibilities.

Although Linda Hayford is best known as an ambassador for popping, her dance practice has evolved through the encounter between many genres and moves.

Linda is part of the group Paradox-sal, launched by Ousmane Sy, aka Babson R.I.P 🕊

Linda is a member of the FAIR·E collective and co-director of the Choreographic Center in Rennes, France. With her own pieces: Shapeshifting, AL/SHE/ME and Recovering, she has developed her own unique dance style, the Shifting Pop.

ATTITUDES is a 3-year project for hip-hop dancers (street and clubbing dance) and its six partners: Dansekapellet, Norrlandsoperan, HOP – Dansa i Cultura Urbana, Summer Dance Forever, Kampnagel – Internationales Zentrum für schönere Künste, CCNRB 🌎

The attitudes project at Dansekapellet is guided by The Attitudes Committee, whose members are Ayub Ali Abdulkadir, Olivia Sol Anselmo and Mark Philip.
