Family workshop: Prints of creepy-crawlies and cemetery plants of the city

As darkness approaches and the leaves fall from the city’s trees, the cemeteries stand eternally green. Stop by DAC’s Educatorium, where we play with light and dark and make plant prints from cemetery greenery and cobwebs. You can also role a plant seed bombs, save it for spring and spread green joy in the city.

Join the family workshop in the Educatorium during fall. Here the DAC’s hosts will help you get started with creative activities that connect to our current exhibition Copenhagen in Common. Explore the exhibition, experience the Copenhagen of today, and work in the workshop to transform Copenhagen into a greener place in the future.

Make a light print of cemetery plants
Learn more about the plants in Copenhagen’s cemeteries when we examine evergreens and bring out the eerie with cobwebs and creepy-crawlies through blue light prints. The light print turns into a cool picture that you can bring home or give as a gift to someone you care about.

During the activity DAC’s hosts will help you get started with the printing technique ‘cyanotype’. This is the technique we use when we – as by magic – produce the beautiful prints of the cemetery’s wonderful plants!

Gather green joy for brighter times with seed bombs
Make Copenhagen a greener place this spring and help the city’s bees, butterflies, and insects out of thei winter hibernation! In the family workshop, we roll seed bombs so you can spread more flowers around town. The seed bombs are wrapped so you can pass on your green gift to your balcony, your friend or the city’s roadside when spring appears again.

It is free to participate once the entrance has been paid. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The workshop does not require registration.
